12 team 5x5 keeper (we keep 5), hurting on offense, solid in pitching.
Other team needs pitching. Would this be enough for Hafner?
I give Haren, Wolf and C. Jackson
I get Hafner and Randy Johnson (or D. Lowe or T. Hudson or King Felix or Y. Gallardo)
I'm not sure who he'd give me back, but I might be fine with any of these guys if I'm getting Hafner. With Teix hurt, I'd like the help. I could grab W. Rodriguez, Meche, Hirsh, Francis, Danks, Chacon or Lieber off the wire or just rotate these guys at SP. Or trade a closer for a SP too.
Would this be enough or do I just go try Haren for Hafner?

| i really doubt if haren for hafner would be enough right now. I have haren in a couple of leagues, i havent tried trading him because i doubt i would get a top player(1st or second round) for him because he has only been able to pitch so fantastic for 2 months. I think your 1b are fine with konerko and teixeira. I would try updrading at 3b- maybe package zimmerman with another player to get a better 3b. Or you could try to improve on matsui, i am not sold on him at all, he has only 5 walks in 100 at bats. Then again, maybe he will turn out to be a poor mans ichiro and be a good slappy contact hitter who hits for high average and scored truckloads of runs, and gets lots of steals as well. To sum up, i really doubt haren for pronk would fly, but you should concentrate on other areas besides 1b to upgrade.

| So, would that be a NO vote on the deal or YES if I can get Hudson back? I think I can find the pitching as we go along to at least maintain my position in those categories. I just think the time to buy low on Hafner is going to quickly disappear.

You would ahve to bench teixeira or konerko or whoever your UT is, i guess dye or hart, and you take a huge hit to your pitching. If you can package konerko + haren for pronk and one of the pitchers you mentions, i guess that might get accepted, and would make some sort of sense for you. the trades you are thinking of create a logjam at 1b for you, and will get declined pretty quick anyways seeing as how pronk>>haren.
