12 team H2H Yahoo league. 6x6 (OBP and CG + 5x5). Non-keeper.

C I. Rodriguez
1B A. Gonzalez
2B R. Cano
3B A. Gordon
SS J. Reyes
OF I. Suzuki
OF H. Matsui
OF M. Ordonez
Util G. Matthews Jr
BN W. Taveras
BN M. Teahen

SP R. Halladay
SP D. Matsuzaka
RP B. Lidge
RP C. James (he has SP/RP status in yahoo)
P B. Sheets
P J. Verlander
P B. Colon
BN C-M. Wang
BN R. Clemens

It's pretty clear I punted saves during the draft, as did a few other teams. Someone has already offered me two closers for Sheets (possibly Jenks and Wickman), but he's also interested in Lidge.

It's also pretty clear I lack power and would like to make that up for the amount of speed I have (namely Taveras, or if I go after a bigger name, Ichiro or possibly even Reyes).

Here's a look at the current waiver wire (yahoo's top available 25 for hitters and throwers):

Tad Iguchi
Joe Crede
Melvin Mora
Stephen Drew
Nick Johnson
Orlando Cabrera
Ray Durham
Marcus Giles
Bobby Crosby
Josh Willingham
Austin Kearns
Jorge Cantu
Jhonny Peralta
Jason Varitek
Craig Biggio
Orlando Hudson
Chris Duffy
Brian Giles
Jim Edmonds
Placido Polanco
Brad Wilkerson
Shea Hillenbrand
Lyle Overbay
Brandon Inge
Ryan Shealy

Mark Prior
Josh Johnson
Kerry Wood
Noah Lowry
Mike Gonzalez
Fransisco Liriano
Rafael Soriano
Mark Mulder
Scot Shields
Cla Meredith
Dan Wheeler
Orlando Hernandez
Woody Williams
Hector Carrasco
Bob Howry
Fernando Rodney
Scott Linebrink
Matt Capps
Justin Duchscherer
Dennys Reyes
Pedro Feliciano
Pat Neshek
Mike MacDougal
Scott Proctor
Aaron Heilman

I'm considering dropping Teahen for Wheeler. Also considering dropping Wang for Josh Johnson or Noah Lowry.

Let me know, thanks in advance!!

If other teams punted saves, you should finish above last in saves, so no need to trade.  You are right about the lack of HR, I don't think Taveras will get you much of a power hitter though, especially with OBP as a catagory, he doesn't walk.

Yeah, you need power all right, especially in H2H.  I'd dangle Tavaras and hope somebody bites on his big spring.  But you'll probably have to part with Ichiro to get a top slugger.  Look for somebody with an extra 1B needing steals.

I'd play Teahen over Matthews.

In H2H, I usually punt SB over anything else.  You're pitching is strong, but a streamer can take you out.

Good luck!
