I need a D that can contribute, especially in PIM and +/-.  Who's the better long term option, Kaberle or Hill?  So far Hill is +12 and has 40 PIM but with little offensive production.  Kaberle has been activated off the IR and should get major PP time with the Canes.  I'm leaning toward Kaberle due to his overall contribution.

For your needs, I would go Hill. Kaberle is more of an offensive contributor but not much in PIM's but Hill can score some but give you a much better amount of PIM's. Besides, I've heard no news of Kaberle being activated from the IR so there you go.

if Frantisek has been activated then i haven't heard about it either and can't find anything to back up that he has.  in fact the last report i read said he may not be back until VERY late in the season.

if you're thinking long term as in beyond this season then Kaberle is worth stashing on your IR but for this year you should go with Hill if you want any sort of contribution soon.
