D - Zubov, Blake, Pothier, O'Brien
G - Turco, Holmqvist, Joseph, Tellqvist
IR - Berard, Connolly Trades I've made so far this season... Early to start the season I dealt:Antero Niittymaki and Robert Esche for Alexei Kovalev and Olaf Kolzig.....I would later drop Kolzig, looking back now I wish I hadn't...not long after that trade, I dealt Alexei Kovalev for Marty St. Louis....my next big move was to deal Paul Kariya, Peter Forsberg and Brian Rafalski for Jonathan Cheechoo and Sergei Zubov....not long after that I dealt Henrik Zetterberg for Brad Richards. Recently, I just dealt Marian Gaborik and Glen Murray for Olli Jokinen and Todd White. I've since dropped White and added Daniel Cleary, I will be cycling a player in and out of this slot as I usually do. Now that I've provided all the necessary info... two questions... - What do you think of my current roster, and what changes do you think need to be made...
- And secondly, what do you think of the trades I've made so far this season?

First, welcome to the boards here at TMR. Hope you enjoy them. Second, I'll talk about the trades first. The Kolzig trade was nice but, as you pointed out, you shouldn't have dumped Kolzig since the team is actually getting better slowly but surely. The St. Louis trade was a nice boost for your team so good job there. On the Richards deal, even though Richards is doing better than Zetterburg right now but Zetterburg will come out of his funk soon so I think you sold Zetterburg too low for just getting Richards. On the Cheechoo deal, I wouldn't have made the deal since you overpaid for Cheechoo and Zubov since his value is in connection to Joe Thornton so I'd rather kept the talent of Forsberg (injury prone or not) and Kariya rather than Cheechoo. On the Jokinen deal, I wouldn't have made that move too. Even though Gaborik is slow to heal, he's got the pure talent like Jokinen to score and make plays but throwing in Murray (who is for real in his production) and ending up dumping White showed that you overpayed for Jokinen. To your team, thankfully you still have a pretty solid team for rosters being so deep so I think you'll do fine in H2H matchups. I don't see any glaring weakness for your team to address except maybe improving your goaltending situation. Hope this helps!
