I'm thinking of offering my Svatos and Johnsson for Redden and his choice of throw-in. I'd be willing to replace Svatos in that deal with Nash or Cheechoo, if you thought I needed to...

I'm in a 10-team roto league that counts G, A, +/-, PP+SH, DEF (2*G+1*A), PIM, SOG, GAA, SV%, W.
We start 9 Fs, 5 Ds, 1 U (F or D), and 2 Gs each day.

My roster:
F - Gagne, Staal, Weight, Ra.Whitney, Cheechoo, G.Murray, P.Bergeron, Svatos, R.Nash, Datsyuk, Nylander, Hemsky, Neil
D - Chara, Spacek, Modry, Numminen, Salo
G - Kiprusoff, Garon, Grahame
IR - Johnsson

I'm in 1st, but need A, DEF, and +/- to stay there -- I've got good leads in Goals and SOG.

His roster:
F - Iginla, Crosby, Marleau, Ju.Williams, Modano, S.Kozlov, Bondra, Rucinsky, Straka, Lindros, Kotalik, Satan
D - Redden, P.Boucher, Schneider, Leetch, Zhitnik
G - Belfour, Thomas, Burke, Munro
IR - (empty)

He's in 6th, and might want Goals and PP+SH.

Any thoughts during this Olympique break?

the offer looks very reasonable and i don't think it'll be necessary to offer either of the other guys instead. in fact you may be giving up too much but you're going out of your way to help your own team and it looks like it could very well work.

I don't think ur going to be able to get Redden for Svatos and Johnsson, I'm pretty certain they will decline without taking a second look... I would decline it, just because I know Redden has better value than Svatos for sure.

But, since ur on the other end of the spectrum, and Ian thinks its reasonable, I guess it's worth a shot, I wouldn't be optimistic about it and you will probably need to up the ante in a later proposal.

Well, I got radio silence on both offers. (He must be watching olympic ice dancing or something -- it's killer, I hear. Heart out to Dubreuil -- rough drop.)

I offered Svatos/Johnsson for Redden - no response.

I upped the ante to Nash/Johnsson for Redden, with a covering message offering to switch Cheechoo in for Nash instead - no response.

I try, I tell you, I try -- 3 of these 10 "competitors" in this pool still have Keeper numbers instead of team names. This guy wasn't one of them, so I had my hopes up, I guess.

I really think I need Redden, but this guy has to respond before I up the ante again.
