This team is a disgrace to depression. It is conceivable that ND could start 0-8. This life-long ND fan is at a loss for words. I watched the first four games but missed the Purdue game today, but from what it sounds like ND's second-half performance in a losing effort is currently the highlight of the season. Sad.

I'm near LA and USC is definitely king there. UCLA gets no real respect, like second-class citizens. Can't wait for the USC@Norte Dame game next week.On another note...Whack! My favorite team is BC since I go to school there. We are starting a horrible redshirt senior QB Quinton Porter who is very immobile and throws tons of INTs. Also, our WRs are never the strongest.Our D-Line is nasty with the return of Matthias Kiwinauka who was a top defender in the Big East the past few years. Also, our young RBs showed a lot of talent, though it would be nice to go to one key guy.Overall, I think a 8-4 season is a decent start for the ACC.JI________________________Become a PREMIUM member of TMR.com!

I'm an LA guy, so both teams are doing very well. When I was a kid I absolutely love UCLA and hated USC. Today? I want both to do well, but still pull for UCLA more than USC. Might be a bit of a down year for my Sooners. Rhett Bomar (redshirt freshman - #1 QB in the '04 class) will probably be the QB. Adrian Peterson will be running behind 3 new OL. The top 3 WR's were all drafted last year. Lot's of inexperience on the offense. The defense also lost 6 starters.

^ Welcome to the ACC .... NC State Wolfpack is my team.Vicious defense but we are in the 2nd year of having to replace QB Philip Rivers which has turned out to be almost an impossible task. Figures - we finally have an All-World "D" only to have our all World QB graduate. We seem to have a tough time of having all the necessary pieces at one time. We will have a bevy of good RB's to work with but someone in the WR dept will have to step up to replace our #1 WR.Our problem last year was QB play and turnovers .... if those to areas improve we should compete for the conference title game. I believe we will have to get by BC to do so though.Out of all the new teams that came into the conference BC was my favorite.....Looked like BC was going to get left out of the mix but I am glad it all worked out.David - Raleigh,NC

Yes, I know that the whole world is watching the Hoops tourney, but I was curious if anyone enjoys college hockey. Being a Gopher fan (Pride on Ice) this is always a great time of year. So about your Eagles. I was hoping they would knock off North Dakota. Even though I am happy seeing an all WCHA Frozen Four, I would have preferred to send the Sioux home.What is the capacity for the rinks for BU & BC? Just curious, since the Gophers having a waiting list for season tickets for their 10,000 seat arena. I am trying to see if the interest runs as high in Beantown."but this one goes to 11."

I try to keep up with the scores, and catch games from time to time. My company has BU season tickets (I'm sure it has nothing to do with the president's son being a student there...), and I'm an alumnus of UMass Lowell, so I root for the River Hawks (terrible, terrible name)....

The "U" is THE program in the country, especially if you follow the NFL. Seems like they have 3rd stringers becoming NFL superstars.Season ticket holder for the Gophers, and they have the best NFL RB prospect in 2005, Lawrence Maroney. Fun to watch and the team can score on anyone in the country, now if they could only stop anyone!

This is indeed one of the toughest calls in the field. On the one hand, Miami finished first in the MAC... on the other that was only because all the teams that could have tied them lost their last regular season game, as did Miami themselves. Buffalo WAS a 7 seed, but has the highest RPI in the MAC... but the committee claims they don't use a team's RPI in selection process. Miami had tougher schedule, but didn't make final of MAC. And in the end, maybe the guys in the room, watching the game will say "Boy, UB deserves to be in after that effort" or they may say "Well, they had their chance..." or they may say "Notre Dame looks good". We'll see, but I'm pulling for the Bulls. It's one of those weird instances where they may get punished b/c Miami didn't make final.
