What kind of SP can I get for Willits.  I have a big lead in steals and need a starter.  It's a 5x5 mixed league.

It is almost like I just answered this one, hmmm...

Not much of one, Willits is owned in only 36% of ESPN leagues and has not stole a base in three weeks.  Add to that his playing time issues and I think you would be lucky to manage a starter like Frances for Willits, and I think that might be asking for too much.

find some pitchers you like from the teams that need steals and start making offers.   be careful about predisposing yourself to a particulure pitcher/pitchers.  you can never be sure what someone will pay for what they want.

some pitchers who i think would be buy low candidates and reasonable requests with some decent bounceback upside are david bush, andy pettite, scott olsen.  some other guys who are good pitchers/perenial disappointments worth inquiring about are javier vazquez, rich harden

good hunting

the aneheim announcers are still calling willits the best leadoff hitter in all of MLB, that may be a stretch but willits is still a fantasy stud.  In one of my 20 team leagues someone just traded gorzelanny and bourn for willits.  and the guy getting willits is conviced he got the better end of the deal(he is in 3rd place).

Willits has no playing time issues, scoicsia loves willits.  You *should* be able to get a very good up and coming pitcher for willits, someone along the lines of gorzelanny or bedard.

Expect truckloads of runs scored and a very high batting average.   And yeah he will steal another 20 bases.

The reason why he hasnt stolen much the past couple of weeks is because his batting average dropped from .360 to a paltry .315, and if he is not on base as much, he wont get as many SP opportunities
