| i like having a back-up catcher. catchers play the fewest amount of games and you have an extra warm body to fill in for you when need be. he can help you in five categories(R,H,RBI,HR,BA), while he can only hurt you in one(BA). your back-up catcher will play more than any other back-up batter IMO. But I do agree that you need steals. don't know how deep your league is, but if its twelve or less players then you may be able to find a Willie Taveras on the Waiver Wire. hes leading off in Coors Field in 81 games this season which amounts to alot of runs in addition to the bags that he'll steal this year! best of luck! If not, you're screwed and i'd just give up now.
