12 team standard 9 category roto yahoo daily transactions league. Tight 2 team race, only 1 pt difference. Sometimes I'm 1st or 2nd.

Lead in PTS and FG% with .489FG%. Need help in BLK and STL. Have 7pts in FT%. My .775 is just behind .777 (1st place guy). Could gain ground in 3PT (15 behind). 9 pts in AST (5 AST behind next guy but have 18 games in hand) should surpass 1st place guy.

Util Delonte West(Bos - PG,SG)
BN Jameer Nelson(Orl - PG)

7th place DimeDroppers

PG Deron Williams(Uta - PG)
SG Raymond Felton(Cha - PG,SG)
G Charlie Bell(Mil - PG,SG,SF)
SF Kevin Garnett(Min - SF,PF)
PF Rasheed Wallace(Det - PF)

Util Andrei Kirilenko(Uta - SF,PF)
Util Andrew Bogut(Mil - PF,C)
BN Matt Barnes(GS - SF)
BN J.R. Smith(Den - SG)
BN Jason Richardson(GS - SG,SF)

Been trying to get KG for the longest time. CDub recommended PP and Wilcox for KG.

7th place just lost JR Smith for 4 weeks. DWilliams and MBarnes have injury issues.

Trying to trade Deng (lower FT% than PP and Melo) so will any of the following work?

1) Deng, Gay for KG------------Gay has nice ranking
2) Deng, Gay, Wilcox for KG, Bogut
3) Deng, Nelson, Gay for KG, DWilliams (buy low)-----------upgrade AST, FT% and PG position

Last resort
4) (PP or Melo) for KG
5) (PP or Melo), (JNelson or Delonte), Gay for KG, DWilliams

Would add Nene, Varejao, RPatterson, Mutombo (Yao not back yet) or RGomes.

Long live the Expos...............in my memory.

I don't think that any of the first three are workable. Garnett is his best guy, and you're offering good players/up-and-comers, but nothing of his caliber. The first thing I would do is make sure that the cats Garnett provides are going to help you pick up points in the standings. Assuming you already know that this is the case, I would proceed and offer the better one for you of Melo or Pierce. The key cats are blocks, steals, 3PM and FT%.

Player, Team
FT%
3P
STL
BLK
Kevin Garnett, Min.8420.11.31.7
Carmelo Anthony, Den.8090.51.10.4
Difference (Averages)+.033-0.4+0.2+1.3

The first deal shows that you gain in FT% and BLK, plus marginally in STL. You'd lose a little in 3PM.

Player, Team
FT%
3P
STL
BLK
Kevin Garnett, Min.8420.11.31.7
Paul Pierce, Bos.8032.60.90.4
Difference (Averages)+.039-2.5+0.4+1.3

In the second case, you'd be about the same in FT% and BLK, but you'd do a little better in STL. However, you'd give up a lot in 3PM. Unless you think you can make up this gap elsewhere, I'd use Melo as the main offer. As far as trying to add in more to get D.Williams, I would open up discussions with the 1-for-1 deal. If he wants to expand it, then try to see what he'll want for Williams. It probably would hurt your chances if you try to include him initially.

Thanks Telestar! Very helpful.

Thought Deng's 52.2% FG% would fall closer to his career avg (47.5%) but as JWhitling says "he could be one of the most efficient 20+ pt scorers from hereon out". Plus he's athletic enough to help in STL and BLK. I think either Melo (best 3rd pick) or PP would be good for KG since I could use a #1 PF. KG takes higher percentage shots than Melo and PP with adequate FT%

Can't decide btw Melo or PP. Melo will keep contributing since his team is fighting for playoffs. Will PP and Celts mail it in and not work as hard to get #1 pick?

I've got KMart, Nash, Granger, Okur, Delonte, Gay, Nelson for 3PTs so I there's a good chance I'll catch 1st place team in 3PT. Weak in STL so that's probably my more pressing need. I could lose a couple of pts here.

Depending on whether he wants leading scorer Melo or PP:
1) (PP or Melo) for KG
2) (PP or Melo), Wilcox for KG //CDub's idea
3) (PP or Melo), Wilcox, Nelson for KG, DWilliams

Want to preserve .489FG% but improve on .777FT% so who else should I consider if owner wants other players? I was thinking Wilcox (low BLKs), Nelson (little AST). Maybe Gay, Delonte (both give STL, BLK, 3PT but bad FG%), SBlake (add him for Millsap).

I'd still start with Melo for the reasons I posted above. If he wants a 2-for-1 for Garnett then start with Wilcox. Don't give up West or Gay if you can avoid it as they may have dramatically improved numbers going forward. Blake would be OK to give if you can pick him up for Millsap.

I'll see what the owner says. Just want to get another PF to compliment Okafor. Anyone else want to put in their 2 cents between Melo or PP. It's probably the baseball talk but who usually has a stronger 2nd half?

I'd rather give up Melo than Pierce, personally. Pierce hasn't been able to play for a while and I see him going large the rest of the way, C's winning or not. Also I like the Deron Williams deal if you can pull that.

Pretty surprising that KG shoots better from the stripe than both 'Melo and Pierce, isn't it?
