10 teams 10 cat roto league (9 cat standard plus A/T) league. 15 players roster, (5 on bench).
My team is sitting in 2nd place in a tight 3 horse race for the title. I am leading in assists (only by 25), A/T ratio (by 0.05) and steals (by 37). However, I am battling the league leader in rebounds (behind by 30) and struggling mightily in FG% and TO (both 3rd from last).
I really love AI2 as he is a big part of my team's dominance on my 3 leading cats, but I don't have other choices if I want to improve my struggling cats. I have this offer on table, should I take it?
My team:
Kidd, Barbosa, Roy, Manu, Iggy, LBJ, Lee, AK, Camby and Dalembert
Bench:
T Thomas, Wilcox, Posey, J Will and Blake (queuing for waiver pickup Darko)
After the 2 for 1, I will most likely promote Thomas or Posey to the starting lineup, while the better FAs are:
Evans, Stevenson, Stackhouse, Patterson, Foye, Varejao, Pietrus, Nachbar, Peterson, Villaneuva, Marcus Williams, Aldridge, Luke Walton

I'd try to analyze if you're getting help in the proper cats. I tried to do a little of the work below assuming Thomas is the guy you put in the lineup, but follow through and consider your options and perhaps the choice will be clearer. Player, Team | FG% | FT% | 3P | REB | AST | STL | BLK | PTS |
|---|
| Elton Brand, LAC | .544 | .757 | 0.0 | 9.2 | 2.3 | 1.0 | 2.3 | 20.7 | | Tim Thomas, LAC | .404 | .685 | 1.7 | 5.2 | 2.1 | 0.7 | 0.4 | 10.5 | | Total Averages | .491 | .738 | 1.7 | 14.4 | 4.4 | 1.7 | 2.7 | 31.2 | | Andre Iguodala, Phi | .444 | .822 | 0.6 | 5.6 | 5.5 | 2.0 | 0.4 | 17.6 | | Andrei Kirilenko, Uta | .451 | .753 | 0.3 | 5.1 | 3.3 | 0.9 | 2.0 | 8.8 | | Total Averages | .446 | .797 | 0.8 | 10.8 | 8.8 | 2.9 | 2.4 | 26.4 | | Difference (Total Avgs) | +.045 | -.059 | +0.9 | +3.6 | -4.4 | -1.2 | +0.3 | +4.8 | This shows positive moves in FG%, 3PM, REB, BLK and PTS. But you lose in FT%, AST, and STL. I'm worried that the loss of AST will make this a loser in terms of A/T as well. So play around with the numbers and see if this is a helpful trade.

| Thanks for the in depth analysis. Since I have a healthy lead in Asts (40 ahead of 2nd, 120 ahead of 3rd) and A/T (1.69, 2 teams @1.63 and the 4th is 1.55), I decided to take a chance given the tight rebound (50 & 20 behind) and FG race (0.05 separating 4 teams) The FA pool is pretty shallow since @ team has 15 players (13 in most leagues). Among the listed players above, which one has the best potential and fit my team?

Among the listed players above, which one has the best potential and fit my team? If you're just looking for a guy to stash, I'd try Aldridge. He shoots a good percentage, and might rebound more if he gets more time. That seems like it is your focus now, so play it that way with a bench position as well.
