Edge vs Lions

Alexander vs SF

Now this isn't your normal who has the better matchup. Alexander isn't 100% yet even though reports say he is until shows otherwise which means he is good enough to play but not 100% in my mind. The main question is will seahawks just play alexander a couple of downs since it is the SF and see how he does or will they give him a full workload. I have doubt about them giving him 20 carries or so in this game, the 1st game back from foot injury.

I also know that edge has been stinking it up but he also is playing the lions here and with both WR back and lienart doing a better job then warner that should open up the run a little on that horrible line.

Just wondering what is teh safer bet? I think alexander is playing but the carries I think will be under 10 since they know they can beat SF and this is more of a preseason game for him. Edge on the other hand still gets carries but hasnt done much with em but this lions def should allow him to do a lot.

I'd go with Edge. He'll definitely get 15-20 touches against a pretty mediocre Lions rush D, and should be a factor in the passing game, too. I cannot imagine Holmgren doing much with Alexander, given how important he is to the Seahawks' playoff hopes. The 'hawks should win this one without too much stress with Alexander resting up and Morris getting the carries, so I'd let Shaun sit one more week.
